it's just kind of astounding that they only are making 4 classes per side.

Here's how it was explained in one of the interviews that came after E3. This isn't the exact wording but it went something like: "Advanced classes are not the same thing as talent trees. Advanced classes are exactly what they say they are, advanced classes." The 4 primary classes represent 4 different "stories" or "plots". For example, the Sith Jugger and Sith Marauder will share the same story, but for all other intents and purposes they are almost completely different classes. They each have 2 talent trees that are unique to each Advanced Class. The shared tree between the Advanced Classes will be the utility tree, such as force powers (force choke, push, etc) that both share. Essentially there are 8 classes per side. People need to get off the idea that Advanced classes represent a talent spec and start looking at them as separate classes. Instead of looking at it like: Sith Warrior = Low Level/Unspecced Warrior Sith Jugger = Prot Warrior Sith Marauder = Fury Warrior Look at it like: Sith Warrior: Low level generic melee class (Unspecialized) Sith Jugger: Warrior (Has DPS and Tank trees) Sith Marauder = Rogue (Different DPS trees)

4 classes vs. 4 classes is easier to balance than 9 classes vs 9 classes. Dont need no moisture farmer class man.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I've just been getting back into the SW:ToR loop, but I really haven't been fallowing things for the last 6 months, other than major story stuff. I'm just now getting back into the swing of things.
