Welcome to the home of Jen'Jidai. We are a Sith based RP/PvP guild for Star Wars: The Old Republic. Here you will strive for perfection or find yourself cast to the rancor. Either way you will find what you are made of, and you will carve your own path. We fear not the night, nor do we shirk from the Darkness. We are Jen'Jidai. Monthy News: |
June 29th, 2009 - Official Roll Call is ActiveThe next Official Roll call is now up and operational. Members of Jen'jidai will have until July 19th, 2009 to fulfill this roll call request. This gives them more then 20 days to respond and fulfill the requirements of the current roll call. Because all of our roll calls have dual purposes, this one will also be unique. This roll call will not only test the activity of our current members, but will also supply us with new information we can use to further increase activities in our guild. Please stop by the Official Guild News Forums and fill out the roll call before July 19th, 2009. As with all roll calls, failure to respond to roll calls will result in a member's removal from the roster and guild. June 26th, 2009 - Activity Night Results and Invasion of Aeten IIFor those who turned out to Activity Night this week (June 25th), you already know the results. I will say it was a blast. Due to the amount of folks that turned out, we had to split into two activity groups. The game of the evening was Texas Hold'em poker, consisting of two main tables. One table was run by the Guild Leader, Drahl, while the other table was led by the guild Ambassador, Sashi. The common theme every activity night is Bounty Hunters verse Sith. Even though the Sith routed the Bounty Hunters last week in trivia, they were not going to go gently into the night this evening in poker. Plus, rumor is, the bounty hunter's strongest game is poker. It looked like it was going to be a clear rout again by the Sith, as up until the last 5 minutes, the Sith ruled both tables. But a last minute come back by Sashi himself on table 2 turned the tide. The results were the Sith won Table 1 and the Bounty Hunters won Table 2. With much shock and awe, we had to declare the night a tie. Either way, much fun was had. For those hardcore role-players in Jen'jidai, the campaign for "Invasion of Aeten II" is heating up. Role-players inside Jen'jidai are flocking to the campaign, making it one of the most popular and successful role-play campaigns conducted by Legend-Gaming in it's three year history. So far, our\ Lore Officers (Mithias and Thelxepia) are reporting great success in the campaign and all the participants seem to be having a blast. If you are a member of Jen'jidai and are interested in joining the campaign, do not be shy. The campaign is open and there is still plenty of time to work your character into the plot line. As with all official role-play campaigns, the progress of this RP event will be added to our official lore and canon. New Members, do not forget we have an upcoming "New Member Orientation" this coming Saturday (June 27th) at 3pm EST. These orientations last only about 30 minutes and basically help ease you into the guild. It is an excellent time to meet your fellow new members, veteran members, and your leadership. It is also a great time to ask questions and to get more information on just what you've got yourself into *wink*. We look forward to seeing this week's new recruits there. June 19th, 2009 - Activity Night Results and Guild Meet and GreetThis week's activity night was a bit unique as we did trivia, something we had not previously done in a very long time. I am not afraid to say it went better then I expected. We usually use a trivia bot. But this time, I played game show host and moderated it myself. For those who know the traditions of activity night; it always ends up being Sith verse Bounty Hunters. Tonight, I am proud to say, the Sith won breaking the series tie. The Sith now lead the activity night series 3-2. Next week is another poker night. Will the Bounty Hunters exact their revenge? We shall see. A reminder to new members and old members alike; we are having the Guild Meet and Greet this Saturday (June 20th) at 3pm EST. This meet and greet is mandatory. If you are a member and cannot make the meet and greet, please send an email or private message to Darth Drahl as soon as possible. If you do not attend, it could have negative effects on your membership. Obviously, if you let the leadership know you cannot attend beforehand, you will be excused and you have nothing to worry about. Communication, as always, is all we ask for. June 14th, 2009 - Introducing our newest OfficersWe're all very excited about our newest officers; truly our first officers. It's taken us several months to come up with a good candidate sheet for officers. Many guilds out there promote officers haphaziardly. Jen'jidai does not fall into this trap. We took our time (months and months) to come up with the perfect officers. I believe we've found them! I present to you, Jen'jidai's new Leadership: Sashi - Ambassador/Officer of Diplomacy Let us hope through their guidance and leadership, we will continue to be the best we can be. Congratulations guys, you've all earned it. Now get to work! :) June 8th, 2009 - Jen'jidai welcomes new members & Activity day informationIt's been a busy past week for the recruitment sector of Jen'jidai. E3 has really created a buzz about the game and the new players are jumping into the action. Jen'jidai is proud to welcome it's newest members; Waylander, Mamoon Jid Wegas, Seth, Akoti, Stro, Draykon, Kyon, Schadwe D'Umbra, Auron Fett, and Witchcraft. Futhermore, we'd like to welcome back some old names; Mithias (Malagith from HoS) and Critas (Trazk from HoS). We're glad to have you guys. This Thursday's activity night will feature trivia and Counterstrike Source. The activity night will begin at 10pm EST, as usual. The first two hours will be trivia. The rest of the time will be spent playing Counterstrike Source. If you do not own Counterstrike, you may still come and participate in the trivia. Remember, attendance is taken for Activity nights. We hope to see everyone this coming Thursday. June 5th, 2009 - Guild Meeting Concluded & Roll Call CompleteThe first official Roll Call of Jen'jidai has been completed today. Leadership was absolutely giddy over the results. Not only did Jen'jidai set a new Legend-Gaming Roll Call record, but we managed to do it in great style and this early in the pre-game process to boot. Jen'jidai was able to keep 93% of it's roster. The previous record, set by Hand of Set in 2007, was 88%. Congratulations is in order for Jen'jidai. For more information on the June roll call, you can visit the roll call thread The second official Jen'jidai guild meeting is in the books. The meeting lasted one hour, roughly. All topics were covered and a wide range of questions were answered. Attendance to the guild meeting was about average. The next guild meeting will be announced in the next few weeks. Leadership is currently going over the attendance records and will be contacing some members shortly regarding their attendance or lack thereof. For those 'members' that missed the meeting, you may download a recording by visiting the guild meeting post June 4th, 2009 - More E3 goodies for SW:Tor -There has been a plethora of information, hands of demos, and so forth for Sw:tor this E3. We've been digging through most of it, keeping an eye on it while discussing it in ventrilo. We decided to post our favorite hands on demo from IGN. We won't go into the details on why it's our favorite nor will we mention that IGN is a long time friend of Legend-Gaming........hmm. Visit IGN's Hands on Demo to see for yourself! June 2nd, 2009 - SW:Tor E3 coverage *E3 Cinematic Trailer LaunchI don't think we could claim to be a SW:tor guild without being up and dancing jigs over the cinematic trailer release today. After many of us sat in ventrilo all day, waiting for E3 to show us SW:Tor's new trailer, it finally reared it's glorious head. Needless to say, we were all very impressed. Move over Blizzard, there's a new Cinematic king in town. Bioware is currently hosting the trailer via this link. Thank you Bioware. We were really impressed with the trailer. Keep up the good work! June 1st, 2009 - Welcome New Members, Roll Call, and More Guild Meeting InfoFirst of all, I'd like to welcome the new members for the past week. We're thrilled to have you as members of our community. Please welcome Samael, Jacen Handa, Ambrosius, and Valkus. As you guys can see, we denied quite a bit of applications this week. We're glad you folks made it past the initial tests. But we can assure you, there will be more tests coming your way soon. The guild meeting is still scheduled for June 4th, 2009. This meeting will replace our activity night for this Thursday. So if you were looking forward to Poker night or Trivia, sorry to disappoint. You get to listen to me instead. The meeting, specifically, will take attendees a little deeper into our hierarchy. The meeting will also seek to uncover many answers about becoming officers, a lot of you have been asking. As with all meetings, it is mandatory and attendance will be taken. You guys know the drill by now. For more information, see the guild meeting announcement in the Guild News forum. Roll Call is winding down. The current Roll call officially ends on June 5th, 2009. For you procrastinators, this means 12:01am EST on June 5th. Currently we've had over a 90% retention rate based upon this roll call. I am proud to say this is a Legend-Gaming record, surpassing the 88% record set in 2008 in Hand of Set. Congratulations Jen'jidai. Those who did not answer the roll call, roughly 10%, will be removed from our roster and sent packing. Best of luck to them in SW:tor and their future MMO career.
